The boys' Schools League commenced in a mouth-watering encounter between St John's High School Mukono Kauga and Agha Khan High School where the two group B teams faced off in a rain-interrupted afternoon at Ndejje SS Cricket Oval. The boys’ schools league is a pathway for schools to qualify for the schools’ cricket week.

Aahil Karim the captain for Agha Khan High School won the toss and elected to bowl first, U-19 opening batsman Ronald Omara and captain of St John's opened the batting alongside Doka Abdul Shakur and two were dismissed after posting 12 (14), and 13 (22) respectively.

The next batters did not contribute too much to the total until Asiku Jackson came in to score 43 (18) with 4 fours and 3 sixes and Katongole Najibu 30 (32) helped St John's High School to set a score of 182/6 in 20 overs, Harsh Singh the standout bowler for Aga Khan who got 2/26 from his quota of four overs.

In the chase with some rain interruptions, Aga Khan was bundled out at 114 all out in 19.3 overs with double figures from Ayan Ali 35 (41), Harsh Singh 33 (22), and Yug Haria 13 (16) with Asiku Jackson (3/15) and Victor Aroma (2/17) the standout bowlers for St Johns. St John’s winning the game by 68 runs.

After Match Day one of the schools league central region, St John's High School Kauga on top of the table in Group B, and other schools in this group are; Agha Khan High, King's College Buddo, Makerere College School, and St John's Senior Secondary Mukono.

Group A which hasn't hosted a match yet is comprised of City High School, Dheli Public School International, Green Hill Academy, Kololo Senior Secondary School, Ndejje Senior Secondary School, and Rainbow International.
