KICC Vs Kutchi Tigers CC

Lugogo

Kutchi Tigers will this weekend take on a revamped KICC side that gloriously welcomes the WCL Div. 4 spin conquering duo of Frank Nsubuga and Irfan Afridi. Both Frank and Afridi return in top form for their club and will hope to continue spinning webs around their opponents.

Last time out, KICC were beaten by the strikers, a team that thrives on beating bigger opponents hence the label Giant Slayers. In what can be regarded as a close call, KICC slumped to a one wicket loss to Strikers CC when they failed to defend their score of 134/10. Arthur Ziraba 57 (92) and Wassim Butt 37 (43) were the bright stars for KICC while the rest of the team faltered. The return of Frank and Afridi will provide more strength to the KICC line up that will come up against a resolute Tigers bowling attack.

The Tigers in their fixture were able to make light work of Challengers at the university oval last weekend when they comfortably defended 289/8. The bowling brilliance of Anup Kerai who snared 9 wickets single handedly will be called upon again when they come up against KICC. Kerai bowled well to cap off an excellent batting display that saw him top score with 57 runs of 57 balls.

Both teams are bound to provide a wonderful source of entertainment for many cricket lovers on Sunday. An occasion that will call on the best of both sides to stand out should they wish to get the edge over one another. KICC will look to use their spin advantage to spin webs around the Tigers, a tactic if well planned and executed will see a score that KICC can only be comfortable with. The Tigers will be hoping to carry their batting form from the previous two games into this game in the likelihood that it will be their batting that will probably determine whether they win or lose.
