U18 Girls Invitation Inter-Hub Tournament: Talent Selection platform

The U18 Girls Invitation Inter-Hub Tournament is set to captivate cricket enthusiasts from January 24th to 29th, 2024, at St. Joseph’s College Layibi in Gulu City. Hosted by the Northern Cricket Hub, the tournament features 4 cricket Hubs; Eastern Enders Sports Hub, Soroti Cricket Academy, Northern Cricket Hub, and Mukono Cricket Community

In collaboration with Uganda Cricket Association, MCC, Cricket Without Boundaries, PODGAL, and Batball Uganda, the event serves as the ultimate talent showcase and a pathway to the international stage for the youngsters in the different cricket hubs in Uganda.  

Mutyagaba Grace, Development Officer North, highlights the tournament's significance, stating, "This is our gateway to selecting the U19 Girls team for the World Cup Qualifiers in Rwanda this August, and it empowers cricket hubs nationwide for sustained growth."

The collaboration with key partners signifies the commitment of Uganda Cricket Association to fostering the growth of women's cricket in the country. The tournament will offer a stage for the U18 girls to showcase their skills but also serve as a stepping stone for their journey towards international recognition.
