Player of match Racheal Ntono (Olila CC)

Afternoon:

Olila 72/6 in 20 overs lost to Aziz Damani 145/5  Immaculate Nakisuyi 53 Not out,  Sarah Bhakita 41 in 20 overs by 73 runs.

Player of match : Immaculate Nakisuyi ( Aziz Damani CC)

Aziz Damani recruited heavily in the off season bringing in experienced players like Gertrude Candiru who crossed from Olila, Saidat Kemigisha from Tornado Bee and the hard hitting Sarah Bhakita from Kenya but are yet to get returns on their investment.

They failed to knock over Pioneer in the 1st 2 t20 games they played and they faced the defending champions Olila High in a clash of the big size sides in Kyambogo. Olila might have lost Gertrude Candiru but they gained national team vice captain Janet Mbabazi from Wanderers.

The persistent morning drizzle meant that only 6 overs could be played in the 1st t20 game which went Olila's way. Rachel Ntono used her power game to the benefit of her team as they set Damani 65 to win in only 6 overs. Saidat Kemigisha (17) tried but failed as Damani was short of the total by 30 runs giving the defending champions all points for the win.

The expensively assembled Damani was a different side in the afternoon as Immaculate Nakisuyi blazed an unbeaten 53 and got support from Kenyan International Sarah Bhakita who scored 43. The Olila chase ran out of overs at 72 giving Damani a 73 run win and their 1st points in the t20 league.

Lugogo Oval

Tornado 110/4 Alice Namuganga 29, Shadia Nakanjako 25 in 20 overs beat JACC 80/5 in 20 by 30 runs.

Player of match: Alice Namuganga ( Tornado CC)

In the only Div 2 game played in Lugogo, Tornado was able to defeat JACC by 30 runs in a game that pitted two even sides together. Both sides were guilty of bowling so many extras and there was very little to write about.
