Strikers vs Africa CC (ACC)

3:00 PM

Strikers take on avengers and Africa in Entebbe this weekend. Having lost two crucial games the previous weekend to Aziz Damani and Ceylon lions, strikers hopes to bounce back strongly this weekend against the bottom placed avengers and inconsistent Africa CC. Avengers comes into this encounter with a single win in 4 matches against Aziz Damani who lost the match for fielding an ineligible player.

Africa cc has won and lost two, their most recent being a shocking loss to Aziz Damani development team (ADDT). Strikers seems to have the upper hand in both of these games though Africa is fond of staging surprising performances and could perhaps upset the strikers.

Strikers look up-to players like Zephania Arinaitwe, Rogers Olipa and Perry Wazombe to lead the batting attack with skipper frank Akankwasa, Richard Agamiire and Simon peter Okecho to deliver with the ball.

Africa CC’s Daniel Batuwa, John Illokur and Jjunju Gadaffi have been ACC’s outstanding performers with the bat in their recent matches. Emmy Odeng Edaku, skipper Marvin Kitamirike and Aggrey Kintu are some of the players ACC counts on to deliver most of the work with the ball

Girish Nasta, Utkarsh Kotharia and Aseem Waseem have stood out for Avengers with both the ball and bat despite the team’s struggle and will be counted on to put the avengers afloat.

Strikers can consolidate themselves in the second position in their group if they scoop maximum points. ACC have chance of going a position higher to third if they win and Avengers’ result will have a less significant impact on their position.
