Ceylon Lions CC vs SKLPS CC

The Ceylon Lions and SKLPS will be at the King's College Budo oval this weekend for their chance at the holding the T20 Cup. Their loss against Kutchi Tigers and win against the Strikers last weekend places them third in the log, of a very competitive group.
SKLPS who have had a sole victory in their two previous fixtures have a bigger hurdle to overcome before they are in the contention for the cup, if only because they have had fewer games. They face an energized Ceylon Lions who are determined to win as they edge ever closer to the top.
Batsmen Meghi Kara, Yogesh Rabadiya and Chetan Halai's efforts helped the team against ACC but the rival side proved too strong. While Dipak Limbani's 3 wicket haul is yet to be replicated and improved upon, the weekend should provide the perfect opportunity.

Skipper Ssempijja Lawrence has led from the front, bringing down the much needed wickets, together with all rounder Jonathan Ssebanjja, they helped the Lions to victory against the Strikers. Brothers Varinder Singh and Narinder Singh, helped steady the middle order and will need to stand firm and longer at the crease this time round to keep from any surprising upsets.
None the less, a win for both sides gets them even closer to the goal with the Lions at second place should Strikers concede a loss in their game.
