Aziz Damani  Vs KICC- 10:00 am

Pioneer seek redemption at Jinja

Last weekend is one Pioneer will want to forget after Kampala Institute of Cricket Clubs (KICC) won both games. The ladies, while determined in their chase of 117 runs, fell short by 46 runs in the morning. While in the afternoon, where they batted first but managed 75/7 in 20 overs, KICC cruised to the finish line with seven wickets in hand. Pioneer will need to recover quick enough to have victory this time round.

Jinja SSS will be looking for their first win this season as they face a fired-up Pioneer side. With all games against the Soroti Cricket Academy based sides; Soroti Challengers and Olila High lost. With both teams at the bottom of the table, they will need to gain an edge over each other to come out of the danger zone. But none intends to make it easy for the other which precipitates for a good outing.

The table standings before this round clearly shows that Pioneer and Jinja SS are in a spot of bother with no victories to their credit.

Aziz Damani and KICC in derby

If last weekend’s men's National Divisional T20 match is anything to go by, a face off between Aziz Damani and KICC will always be one of those anticipated games. Both teams have won all their games and this weekend is one during which one of the two giants must face defeat for the first time this season.

Damani will have confidence coming into the game; has chased down scores of 139/2 and 70/3 against Soroti Challengers last week who put on 35/10 and 69/4 in the morning and afternoon games respectively. KICC will be confident as well, having secured wins in their last encounter against Pioneer.

They defended 117/4 against Pioneer's 65/10 to win by 46 runs in the morning, while they limited their counterparts to 75/7, a score they chased to win by a resounding seven wickets. It is going to be a nail-biter between the two - a case of survival for the fittest.
