QUICK POINTERS

1. It was a night Twenty20 Game at the 11,000 seater Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha.

2. Cricket Cranes captain Roger Mukasa lost his first toss of the tour. He maintained his routine of calling heads but it was tails on top when the coin was flicked this time.

3. Coach Steve Tikolo gave Kenneth Waiswa his first match of the tour and the former U-19 captain impressed with the ball (2 for 25) and also finished unbeaten on 6 runs off 8 balls with the bat.

4. Opening bowler Charles Waiswa and leg-spinner Irfan Afridi got some desired rest after playing the first two games of the tour whereas veteran Frank Nsubuga returned after resting on Friday.

5. Deus Muhumuza showed his all-round usefulness. Despite not getting a wicket after a haul of nine in the first two matches, he walked in at No.4 with the scores on 97 for 2 and contributed with the bat (24 off 10), forthwith sealing victory for Uganda with a slog sweep six over the mid-wicket boundary with just two balls remaining.

6. Kayondo took the Man of Match award after scoring a quick-fire half century of 51 runs off 39 balls. He joined Muhumuza (6 wickets for 27 runs in Game One) and left-hand batsman Simon Ssesaazi (62 runs off 76 balls in Game Two) who have exhibited extraordinary individual shifts to scoop MOM medals thus far.
