Man of Match Henry Ssenyondo 5/21 in 10 overs (From Aziz Damani CC)

On a hot Sunday, at Kyambogo oval, Aziz damani sealed their lead in the men's league after an easy victory over giant slayers STRIKERS CC after dismissing them for 143. Henry senyondo 5/21 and Bilal Hassan 4/33 ripped through the strikers batting to set up the game for their batsmen.

Zephaniah started off the innings in his usual style as he went big against his former coach Isaneez Emanuel scoring 4 boundaries off the Isaneez's first over. Henry Ssenyondo got rid of the erratic Zephaniah deceiving him with a turner and he offered a catch to Kenneth Waiswa at deep Square Leg. Zephaniah's partner Perry Wazombe followed him shortly caught by Ali Hamza off Henry's magical delivery.

The on form Simon Peter Okecho couldn't pick Bilal's bowling and he was caught behind by Fred Achelam without bothering the scorers. Ivan Thawithemwira tried to stabilise with a patient 17(24) but he also fell victim to Henry Ssenyondo trapped LBW attempting a sweep shot.

Strikers had their backs to the wall when U19 internationals Sirajje Nsubuga and Frank Akankwasa both departed for 0 off Henry's bowling. However, Derrick Bakunzi 25(61) and Rogers Olipa 48(66) managed to drag the score past a hundred with Bilal Hassan and Brian Masaba combined cleaning up the tail.

With a target of 144 to win, Aziz damani had no hesitation to send in Riazat Ali Shah "Rizo The Punisher " to open the batting along with Ali Hamza. Riazat performed to the expectations as he scored a quick half ton 74(64) that included 10 boundaries and a huge maximum while hamza backed him up at the other end with a technical 21(31).

Rogers Olipa who managed to get rid of Riazat as he sent his middle stump flying the only reward for Strikers in the afternoon. Saud Islam 42(47) then combined with Brian Masaba 4(17) to close out the game bith finishing unbeaten.

Aziz Damani are now competing against themselves to remain unbeaten a feat that was managed by Tornado Bee when they dominated local cricket enroute to four league title in a row.
