Karago CC vs Nyakasura CC
Nyakasura Cricket Oval

The battle for survival is on this weekend when Nyakasura and Karago battle for survival at the Nyakasura school cricket grounds.

Nyakasura CC, one of the teams tooted to win promotion to the second tier currently sit bottom of the table with 6 points from 5 games. They have performed way below expectations and only have one win coming from their next door neighbours Karago. In contrast, Karago are 4th on the table and are looking at extending their lead from 8 points to 14 with a win.

Brian Asaba (83 off 69) and Joseph Baguma (59 off 76) starred with the bat for Nyakasura in their 201 runs win over Karago when they last met. Nyakusara will rely on the pair for runs as well as Robert Ajuna, Pascal Murungi and Charles Musemeza.

Karago have Joel Musinguzi and Alijuna Fortunate to count on for their all-round performances should they have any say in the game. With the schools’ cricket tournament fast approaching, the student filled sides will be looking to their training for the tournament to give them the cutting edge they need. Both teams come to this fixture fired up and raring to showcase the region’s top talent.

Nyakasura with a game in hand, hope to make good use of the advantage that they have to garner more points. The winner of the game shall gain the bragging rights in the region until the next time they meet again in next years’ league. At this point in the league, it is confirmed that both teams will remain in the Division for next season.
