The matchup between Premier CC and Kutchi Tigers comes at such a time the Tigers are looking to close the gap between them and run away leaders Aziz Damani. A win will only get them pull away from third placed Challengers who play Damani on the same day.
Premier come into this match fresh off a 107 run loss to Strikers CC that stamped their position bottom of the Division 1 table. In their first round match up, they comfortably chased a whopping 316 runs Strikers set on the day and it was surprising that they failed to get a measly 267 this time round. They will be looking to mitigate their loss to Strikers but in the Tigers, they will face a much more experienced and sterner opponent.
The Kutchi Tigers on the other hand remains unbeaten in this second round, with an 8 wicket win against the Lions and most recently, a 5 wicket win against KICC. Separated by a mere point from the close Challengers CC, a win in this match is key to put some distance between them and solidify second place as table leaders Aziz Damani currently sit 18 points adrift and seem unstoppable.
This match is sure to be an interesting one as each team is looking for a win to keep afloat; for Premier, against relegation woes, while for Kutchi tigers, to keep their place in the top tier.
