Challengers CC Vs Aziz Damani CC
Entebbe
Oval
10:30am

Challengers CC who have been the feel good side in Division One with five straight wins in six games will look to put a dent in Aziz Damani’s 100% record in the league come Sunday at the lakeside oval in Entebbe.

Undoubtedly the kings of the league at this point with a 100% unbeaten record, Aziz Damani have garnered enough confidence to face every match assured of victory. How else would you explain that ‘trial’ beach party after their demolishing of KICC last weekend? All aspects of their game have been in perfect sync making them a well-oiled machine. The batsmen (Saud Islam 394 from 9 innings, Riazat Ali 335 from 8 innings) have been getting the runs and the bowlers picking the vital wickets.

Challengers CC on the other hand have built up momentum picking five straight wins and are hoping to keep the form as they seek to soil Aziz Damani’s early championship’s celebrations.  The Challengers come into this game against an opponent determined to keep the winning streak, and their title defence certain according to Aziz Damani CEO, Siva Koti. They will be banking on the form of Arthur Kyobe (376 from 10 innings) and Hamu Kayondo (372 from 8 innings) to provide the runs.

A win for the Challengers would see them displace second place holders Kutchi Tigers should they lose to Premier in the other fixture of the day. This match, in my opinion will be one very interesting affair between both sides bent on claiming dominance over the other.

Many will probably be looking to see how that ‘innocent’ banter between the two captains pans out on the field.
