Africa CC Vs Patidar CC

Patidar CC come into this fixture after awarding a walk over to Avengers CC in Jinja last weekend. Reasons as to whether they failed to communicate or just did not show up for the game is entirely known to them. Those were points they freely gave away to an Avengers side on their tail. They travel to Budo on Sunday to play against an Africa side that has been turning their bad run in games to good fortunes.

Africa entertain Patidar at the KC Budo oval with the hopes of winning this one and keeping their hopes of promotion alive. Their last fixture was against KC Budo who they trounced by 76 runs at the riverside oval in Jinja. Africa were out of sorts and only managed to score 210 runs in their innings against a Budo side known for going hard at the ball.

It was perhaps this flaw in Budo that led to their fall as Marvin Kitamirike took their wickets in plentiful, finishing on 23/5 in 6 overs. Against a Patidar side that balances Patient batting and hard hitting, the Africa bowlers will have to produce resourceful antics to limit them to a score their batsmen can chase.

Nile CC Vs Avengers CC

Nile CC come into this game after a flogging at the hands of Tornado that saw them concede 411 runs, their biggest total to chase this season. Tornado had a field day with their bowlers as every batsman on the day sought to better their averages in the game.

Nile C.C Captain Dinesh Thota; "We're sticking to a more senior team this weekend; Coach Alvin is available to play, Turab and Vishnu. Just a couple changes... Dhaval is in Kampala but we're not sure yet"

A number of bowling changes were made but to no avail as the score board just kept on ticking. The ease with which the Tornado batsmen scored runs was alarming, and this was equally coupled with terrible displays in the field. Too many mistakes saw Nile give away too many runs in the field and opportunities not taken were severely punished.

Nile is the one team every other team is looking forward to beat to up their net run rates and averages. Well, Avengers are not any different and they will be doing just that. With a free five points from a no show Patidar days before, they will be hoping to get 5 off of Nile and with a bonus point. It will be interesting to see how Nile bounce back from conceding over 400 and what they can do against an Avengers side looking to get into promotion places.
