Africa CC 264/7 in 50 overs (Daniel Batuwa 42* off 28, Brian Kizza 40 off 84) beat Wanderers 78/10 in 23.4 overs (Joseph Byaruhanga 33 off 40) by 186 runs.

Man Of Match: Agrey Kintu 3/18 in 4 overs, 35(38)

Africa Cricket Club (ACC) took the spoils in a one sided affair against their local rivals Wanderers Cricket Club.

Denis Musali won the toss for his side and opted to field first in the hopes that his bowlers would come to the party and spoil Africas day. With opening bowler David Kateyenge back in the squad, Wanderers we able to peg down the Africa batsmen, limiting them to just 78 runs for no loss in 26 overs.

The overs ticked away, the runs, scarce and the wickets, equally limited. But the game still went Africa’s way at the day’s end.

"But how did Africa eventually get 264?", one would ask. Well, turns out the demon of dropping catches was not completely exorcised from the Wanderers team after all. In as early as the second over, the Wanderers put down Brian Kizza who then went on to get 40 0ff 84 balls and Quraish Kasujja's 32 came after being dropped at 00.

In response, Wanderers only managed a paltry 78 runs with 33 of those coming from Joseph Byaruhanga. The big question here is, "what has gone wrong for the Wanderers?" The loss to Africa has seen then finish the first round of fixtures with just two wins, one coming as a walkover against Nile.

Wanderers have gone from game to game showing no signs of improvement. The batsmen have been shoddy in their work, the bowlers have been loose and the fielders have been shambolic. Over all, the team needs to improve before it becomes open season on them.

SKLPS 147/10 in 31.5 overs (Hitesh Halai 36 off 38, Chetan Halai 31 off 38) lost to Patidar 153/7 in 23.2 (Gurpreet Singh 68 off 40, Satnam Singh 36 off 14) overs by 3 wickets.

Man Of Match: Gurpreet Singh 68(40), 1/25 in 5 overs

Patidar have continued their run of good form in Division II with yet another victory that sees them stretch their lead at the top.

SKLPS won the toss and elected to bat first on a wicket that proved to be uneven will all sorts of balls being bowled. And with the weather slightly overcast, it provided the perfect theater for the performances that followed in the day seeing a total of 300 runs scored by both sides and 17 wickets felled.

SKLPS managed a modest 147 in 31.5 overs with the Halais Hitesh and Chetan contributing a total of 67 runs which in the long run were futile to their cause. Farid Dinani and Innocent Mwebaze combined well in an 8 over bowling spell that saw them concede 29 runs for 5 wickets.

SKLPS eventually crawled to their score leaving Patidar needing 148 runs to win. Gurpreet Singh who was man of match a week ago against the Wanderers was called on again against SKLPS and his performances were nothing short of brilliant. He top scored with 68 off 40 balls to guide his team to victory and claim another man of match accolade.

When they talk of finishing in style, there was no better finish to the game than the ball getting dispatched for six with only one run needed to win. This wasn’t a baptism by for SKLPS but it still remains a loss and the gap between both sides increased to double figures.
