Patidar CC Vs SKLPS CC

Table toppers Patidar take on SKLPS in what could turn out to be a derby of sorts between two Indian sides whose players go way back to when both teams started playing in the league.

Patidar come into this fixture fresh off a thumping they delivered to a Wanderers side that looked out of sorts. They capitalized in all aspects of the game to seal victory, batting well and equally bowling well. They will be looking for a repeat performance against SKLPS on Sunday in Lugogo to further strengthen their position at the top and also boost their chances of returning to the top flight.

SKLPS equally come into the fixture knowing a win equally puts them in contention. This will be a battle between number one and two on the table standings. Patidar will be banking on Gurpreet Singh and Hardick Patel who combined well together to contribute over 200 runs against the Wanderers. SKLPS will have to find solutions to the two who are capable of turning scores into a semblance of a proverbial blood bath.

Both teams will be hoping to finish the 1st round of fixtures on a high, and when the 2nd round begins, they would like to have a firmer grip on their chances of promotion.

Wanderers CC Vs Africa CC

Derby day! And this time, it is the two old clubs Wanderers and Africa that face off. Both have endured a string of losses and both sit perilously close to the drop.

Wanderers face Africa on the back of a thumping at the hands of Patidar just days prior to this engagement and will be looking to better their chances with a win. Africa also come into the fixture after painfully losing to Tornado the weekend before. Both teams were scheduled to meet on the weekend of 23rd June but prevailing circumstances led to the postponement of the game.

This Sunday, the 8th will see both teams lock horns for the first time this season to close the 1st round of fixtures. Africa will try to take advantage of the fact that Wanderers are currently enduring their worst run of form suffering one defeat after the other. Wanderers on the other hand will be hoping for a turn of events that sees them attain victory with their last win coming against Budo in Jinja some 2 months ago.

Sam Walusimbi and Denis Musali will be hoping to have a full strength squad for Sunday with some players missing for the Patidar game due to illness and work commitments. Africa will also hope that some of their comrades go to bed early and show up refreshed for the game.
