Patidar CC Vs Wanderers CC

The Wanderers return to action this weekend against Patidar after six weeks, time only the team can account for. Sam Walusimbi’s boys will grace the field in a bid to collect their 3rd win after gifting SKLPS a win through a walkover.

For Patidar, a win will see them leap frog Tornado and SKLPS to move into first place and a chance to gain promotion back into Division 1. Patidar have only lost one out of the five games they have played putting them in a strong position to see off the challenge of Dennis Musali and his charges. Patidar come into this game in good form and the game will be theirs to lose.

Wanderers on the other hand have only managed two wins in five games with one win coming as a walkover from Nile CC. They have yet to find the formulas to consistently winning and this result sees them sitting 6 points out of the drop zone and 17 points adrift of the log leaders. A win here will see them gain ground on some of the competition and the hunger to win has been building up since the loss to Tornado 6 weeks ago.

Tornado CC Vs Africa CC

Uganda’s two oldest clubs will resume their decades long rivalry this Sunday. These rivalries unfortunately are no longer what they used to be. They are more of routine now that one team has to play the other.

Back in the day, these teams would gear up for these games right from the time the fixtures were released. Players would huff and puff all in the name of getting the edge on their opponents, days and sometimes even weeks prior to the game. This has changed of late, both teams meet up on a Sunday and play to win, unlike when they used to play for bragging rights.

That being said, Tornado come into this game on the back of two straight losses and will be looking to get their mojo back with a win. Africa that started the campaign red hot have somewhat cooled like a star filled night in the Sahara. A win for either side will see them gunner for positions at the top and hopefully gain promotion at the end of the campaign later this year.
