Premier CC 121/10 Himanshu Rishi 30(44), Rajesh Nair 20(28) in 31.4 overs lost to Ceylon Lions 124/4 Narinder Singh 55(42), Simon Ssesazi 21(13) in 19.2 overs by 6 wickets

Man of match: Narinder Singh 55(43)

With just about every passing game, a win continues to elude Premier CC. In a game that was over by lunch at the lakeside oval, Ceylon Lions became another thorn in any chances Premier had for securing a win.

Hoping that their fortunes would change this time round, Premier won the toss and elected to bat first setting 121 runs in just under 32 overs.

Himanshu Rishi 30(44) and Rajesh Nair 20(28) were the stand out performers with the bat but did little to put up a challenging score for the Lions to chase.

Ceylon Lions got on to the chase in a T20 style of batting. Anyone watching could have easily thought they were playing T20 cricket at the Entebbe oval.

In as little 19.2 overs, the Lions were guaranteed victory with some explosive batting sessions. Narinder Singh was unbeaten on 55 off 43 balls and the hard hitting Simon Ssesazi contributed with a 13 ball 21 runs.

Premier are still in the hunt for their first win of the season and at this rate, they might as well finish the first round of games without a single win.
