2017 Div 2 winners Premier have found life in the top flight hard and will have to wait another weekend for a win as they were put away by Challengers. The results have not been terrible but are a team in transition after losing most of its team players from last season to Patidar.

They have lost games they were more less expected to lose because they are to teams that are pushing for the title and the real test for them will come when they face evenly matched sides.

They batted 1st against Challengers and they could only manage 148 all out with the young Mohil Patel (38) and Calvin Watuwa (22) with the only double figures for the side. They failed to deal with the spin of Ahmed Nasser who claimed four wickets.

In the chase Challengers didnt leave anything to chance with stand in captain Hamu Kayondo (32) offering his fellow national team compatriot Stephen Wabwose (77) to knock off the deficit with ease.

The loss kept Premier rooted at the bottom of the Div 1 table while Challengers make some much needed upward movement to keep up with top table toppers Damani.

The much anticipated game between Tornado Bee and Strikers was decided by rain as both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils. A wet wicket made it unable for play to happen and the match officials choose to award the match as a no result.
