Tornado Bee CC return into action against the Ceylon Lions at the lakeside oval looking to win this game at all costs. The return of Roger Mukasa and Deus Muhumuza will provide the much needed bite the team desperately missed out on their last fixture against KICC where they lost.
Deus Muhumuza and Roger Mukasa triumphantly return from Malaysia where they won the tournament and helped guide Uganda back to the WCL Div. 3. Roger will forever be remembered for his last over spell against Denmark that saw the Danes lose all four of their remaining wickets to gift Uganda a much needed win. Tornado Bee CC will look to both Deus and Roger to replicate their exploits against a Lions side that have been another surprise in the league.
Tornado Bee go into this match banking on their top order batsmen to deliver for them in their batting innings. Last time out, they did not bat well as they kept losing wickets in a 135 run chase, eventually stopping 19 runs short of the target. They will look to capitalize against the Lions’ bowlers and get the runs ticking should they wish to avoid another defeat.
The fiery batting ability of Arnold Otwani and Simon Ssesazi will be tested by the Bees bowlers. Much will be seen as to whether the youthful pair can weather the storm to chaperon their team across the finish line. Both batsmen have been ever impressive for their teams in the league and during the national trials for Simon. It is yet to be seen how far they can test the Bees at the lakeside oval this Sunday.
