Weekend Preview:
Aziz Damani will never tire of winning and so far they are the only unbeaten side in the women’s T20 league. They managed to overcome a tricky Soroti Challengers last weekend and this time they face Wanderers who are in the second position.
Aziz Damani reinforced their squad last weekend adding Kenyan Captain Margaret Banja and hard-hitting all-arounder Sarah Bhakita to their line-up. Wanderers will miss the services of the two Bangladeshi players Shohaly Akther and Farjana Akther who had to return home. Rita Musamali and Franklin Najjumba will have to step up for Wanderers. If Aziz Damani can win both games this weekend they will surely be guaranteed of defending their title.
Pioneer Cricket Club went past Tornado Bee last weekend breaking little sweat in that effort and this time they face a young and exciting Olila Cricket Club. Olila got a game off Wanderers last weekend and that should boost their confidence.
Pioneer Cricket Club a very experienced side will be counting on Barbara Mukankusi and Carol Namugenyi to lead from the front with ball and bat respectively. Tornado Bee is yet to win a game in this season going down to Aziz Damani and Pioneer so far and it doesn’t get any easier for them as they come up against Soroti Challengers.
Soroti Challengers fell to their rivals Aziz Damani last weekend but they must be hungry to get the monkey off their backs. Janet Mbabazi and Kevin Awino have a big responsibility of making sure their side gets past Tornado Bee.
