UCA U15 GIRLS' SOFT BALL TOURNAMNET - KASESE REGION

The *Kasese U15 Girls' Softball Tournament 2019 came to end as Kyanjuki Primary School saw off the hosts Katiri Primary School in the Finals.

UCA has spearheaded in increasing participation in girls schools with organized competition and training so as to cope with the increasing demand of women cricket both local and internationally.

 

Cricket is being used as a tool to deliver life skills and health messages to students which in a long run has got great impact on individuals. In an area like Kasese with alarming numbers girls dropping outs of schools, cricket has provided a safe haven for them to continue in school.

 

As the event came to an end Below were the 3 exceptional players;

*Best Bats Lady*: Ithungu Jolly (Kyanjuki Primary School


*Best Bowler*: Kirimunda Immaculate ( Mt Rwenzori Girls’ School)


And *Best Fielder*, Sharon from Bulembia Primary School).
